MATBIP PS4 CONTROLLER FOR STEAM GAMES

As more older gamers switch to PC gaming, multi-platform wireless controllers are growing in high demand. I was in the market for a budget PC controller, and I stumbled upon Matbip, who develops fun gaming peripherals.
I bought their controllers so that I can play fighting games on Steam. But what I was really after was the D-Pad controller to accommodate those directional fighting games like Mortal Kombat and Tekken. Did it live up to my expectations?
So far, Matbip’s recent offering does a great job at performing as a replacement controller. The buttons feel sturdy and it has an excellent ergonomic grip. Both the D-Pad and the joysticks are well-built. Though the device’s design is very similar to that of the original PS4 controller, it is compatible with both the PS4 and Steam games.

Pairing the controller with Windows 11 took a long time. There were some steps missing from the tutorial. There are also occasional discrepancies in quality control. I have two of these controllers. The hit accuracy of the first controller is almost flawless.
However, when I tested it on Street Fighter 6, the second one was at least 90% responsive. As a result, most of my combos would stutter, missing many of the crucial elements for pulling off a powerful special move. Thankfully, it doesn’t occur frequently.
What I love about this Matbip controller is that it appears to work on all of the Steam games. Some classic games, such as Virtua Tennis and Burnout Paradise, may not function properly. I noticed that playing a game outside of Steam, the controller is virtually nonexistent! Nevertheless, you might be able to continue using it using a third-party program called DS4.

It’s fantastic that it has Bluetooth 5.0, which reduces latency and offers a solid connection. However, I should note that the D-Pad is somewhat slippery due to its firm silicon construction. If you have sweaty hands, this will become a problem.
The one hitch that I find annoying about this controller is that you won’t be able to hear your games because the sound defaults to the controller’s built-in headset connector. To resolve this, you must launch Windows 11’s Control Panel. Go to Sound and Hardware. Click Sound. Make sure you are on the Playback Tab. Select the speakers of your choice and click Default.
Though the controller has a few flaws, it is still an excellent purchase all around. I’ll update this review once I’ve tested the durability and battery performance. So far so good.
